In July 2009, almost one hundred people from ten countries across Europe gathered in Tervola, Finnish Lapland for the Anti-Nuclear Climate Camp and Youth Exchange, to support the local resistance against planned uranium mines and nuclear power plants. Workshops, seminars and actions were organised during the week to highlight the dangers of uranium mining and to explore the possibilities of truly sustainable alternatives.
